     Thank you Craig, we will try it. Do you (or anyone) know if this also
     works with a 3570?

     Anyone care to comment on frequent "TAPE SIM/MIM RECORD" in the AIX
     "errpt"? Happens a lot with our 3570's and 3575's and saw one on a
     3494/3590 yesterday.

The 3575 will queue the load of a drive that is
being cleaned, and it even tells ADSM that the drive is empty, so that
it completely hides the operation.  It works quite well.
