Windows can't find changer

Can you give me a link to the latest driver?

6.1.99 containts both install_exclusive.exe and install_nonexclusive.exe, what is the best choise?

I removed previous 6.1.8 and installed 6.1.99, now in Device Manager Tape Bus Emulator is with error.

Still have the same problem. Is it ok, that IBM driver is not digitally signed?

Can you name the drivers complected, that you have.

i have installed 6.1.99 for all devices.
i have
1x LTO1 3 drives
1x LTO2 2 drives
1x LTO4 2 drives

Try to install install_exclusive.exe -T for tape to.

It helped for Tape Bus Enumerator, but problem unknown-changer not solved.

i use TSM 5.5.2 Do you see the Library korrekt when you run tsmdlst.exe?
like LBx.x.x.x - wwn - LIBRARY
which HBA do you use? i have some trouble in the paste with the driver for it. i have try some versions for it until i have the best. it was not the latest.

When I run tsmdlst.exe, its at once closes.

Actually I donˇt know what HBA is there. Tried to find out, but nothing. Maybe you can give a idea, how to find out what HBA is in use?

What do you see?
mtx.x.x.x for drives
LBx.x.x.x for Library
you should see both.

Device-Manager- SCSI RAIDController,
for example= QLogic FibreChannel Adapter

to run tsmdlst.exe , open a command Window, navigate to tsmdlst.exe and start it. the window should be open.

Cant see nothing that...
I have:

Adaptec Processor Device(Pseudo)
Adaptec Serial ATA HostRAID
Smart Array Controller

From tsmdlst.exe:

No HBA were detected.
Reason: Unable to load HBA vendor library.

Library.
mt4.0.0.2 Ultrum 4-SCSI

Ok, it seems your devices are only connect over SCSI not Fibre.

but, mt4.0.0.2 . Mt= means connected tapedrives
If you dont see LBx.x.x.x for a connected library there is the problem.
thats what i know.

I have HP SA E500 HBA... downloading the driver... see what will be...

You say you have
  • 1x LTO1 3 drives
  • 1x LTO2 2 drives
  • 1x LTO4 2 drives
Can you provide an answer to the following to clear thinsg out since the setupis not clear to me.
Are all these drives in the same library? Or are that different libraries? Are all libraries of the same manufacturer? Are all drives off the same same manufacturer? What manufacturer? Are these drives / libraries fibre or scsi attached?
Are all the drives for the SCSI/fibre cards (correctly) installed?
Is the problem only occurring with HP 1/2 GA library? Are the other libraries working?

Regards. Wim.
