Hi,

Device Manager doesn`t show me changer driver, actually shows, as Unknown Device.

In the same time my tape drive was recognized.

I tried to use following drivers:
IBMTape.x86_6189_Lib3573_Cert
IBMTape.x86_6189_LTO2-4_Cert.zip
IBMTape.x86_6180_Cert.zip

In activity log Iˇl get:

HBAAPI vendor library failed to load or missing.
The web administrative interface is no longer supported. Begin using the Integrated Solutions Console instead.

Thanks for responces.

What type/model of library have you installed and who is the manufacturer? Same info for drives is required.

Library: HP 1/8 G2 LTO-4 Ultrum 1760 SCSI Tape Autoloader

Sorry, but what drives do You mean?

Ohh... Ultrium Gen 4 800GB/1.6TB
Without Case

What does the IBM TSM support site say about support for these devices? If the IBM drivers does not work for these devices, try using a different one or look for one on IBM's site.

Have you turned off the local Windows Removable storage service for these devices?

I`l check, what IBM says about this...

What drivers can I try more?

Turning off Windows Removable storage doesnt help.

You'll need to use the TSM device driver instead of the Ultrium drivers for the HP tape unit.

Thanks for responses, but installing native TSM drivers havent solved my problem. Changer in still like unknown device in Device Manager.

Hi,
if you install the TSM Device Driver, the librarys shown as unkown device is korrekt.
you must update the Driver, use your own driver not searching.
Then select "ibm Storage manager for medium changer".

I found the driver, but Hardware Update Wizard tells me that
"This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)"

OK,
if you open windows device manager,
open the tree systemdevice.
is there installed "Changer bus enumerator" or is there some error?

Changer Bus Enumerator is ok. I thought that this is a issue, but not.

For Changer Bus Enumerator I used IBMTape.x86.6180_Cert driver.

How do you have installed the driver?
install_exclusive -c or nonexclusive -c

greeting
michael
