Storage Agent 6.1.0 service started and then Stopped

hi,
I have installed and configured TSM 6.1.0 on windows 2003 x32 server and Storage Agent 6.1.0 on windows 2008 x64, my BAC 6.1.0 and TDP for mail 6.1.0 in on same server with Storage agent, now i wanted to take backup of my Exchange Server 2007 on Tape library, which is been configured on my TSM Server,
for performing LANFREE Backup i have defined SA on TSM Server, and added details on the option files which are as follows........
--DSM.OPT--(TDP)
TCPCLIENTPORT 1501
TCPPORT 1500
LANFREEPORT 1502
TCPADMINPORT 1505

--DSMSTA.OPT--
TCPPORT 1502
SERVERNAME *****
DEVCONFIG devconfig.txt

but now my Stoage Agent service is not working, when i start the service on client it starts and then get stopped showing msg...

"THE TSM STORAGEAGENT1 SERVICE ON LOCAL COMPUTER STARTED AND THEN STOPPED. SOME SERVICES STOP AUTOMATICALLY IF THEY ARE NOT IN USE BY OTHER SERVICES OR PROGRAMS."

your suggestions are most welcommed for the resolution of this problem....

Do you get anything in the actlog on the TSM server when you start the storage agent ?

What happens if you start the storage agent from the command line?

One thing I noticed in your info you said you had

--DEVCONFIG.TXT--
set staname *****
set stapassword *****
set stahladdress *****
define server ***** serverpassword ****** haladdress ****** lladdress 1500


I think that should be hladdress not haladdress on the define server line...

Hey thanx for replying.....

im getting the following error continuously on my TSM Server ACTLOG...
ANR2034E QUERY EVENT: No match found using this criteria. (SESSION: 56)

and the following two errors some times.

ANR0944E QUERY PROCESS: No active processes found. (SESSION: 46)
ANR2034E SELECT: No match found using this criteria. (SESSION: 46)


and when im starting my Storage Agent manually im getting this output...

Ok, so I assume 192.168.2.35 is your TSM server.

Can you post the output of

q server f=d

from your TSM server.

Im unable to take LAN-FREE backup of my mail server but through LAN my Mail-Server BACKUP & RESTORE is running successfully to tape(attached to SAN).
I have defined the drive path from SAN Agent to TAPE Library following is the output of QUERY PATH command.

I Have also configured another San Agent on my Database Server and dat is also facing the same problem.....
please help.....:confused:
im having 10 drives defined in my Tape library and also defined all the 10 drives path from both the storage agent.

Its probably a silly question, but you have set

enablelanfree yes


in your exchange api dsm.opt file ?

for the exchange node , try setting

upd node <nodename> datawritepath=lanfree

This will force it to only be able to write data to TSM via lanfree.

Try this, run a backup and post the output from the server actlog.

and one more thing my BAC is not connecting with ENABLELANFREE yes options with the error code ANS1971E but wen i disable all LANFREE options it is connectng.....
and in my TSM server's activity log and in system event log im getting the following error....
ANR2034E QUERY EVENT: No match found using this criteria. continously.......
 
i have done this too..... but backup failing with the error
ANS0350E(RC245) The current client configuration doesnot comply with the value of the DATAWRITEPATH or DATAREADPATH server option
 
I'm guessing you don't want lanfree enabled anyway just for the normal backup archive client...only enablelanfree yes for the Exchange TDP dsm.opt file..

my TSM Server is the library server.... but when query library the primary library server name is blank.....why...????
 
You do not need to have a LIBRARY path defined on the TSM server for the Exchange storage agent.. The Exchange storage agent only needs paths to the tape drives.

You mean you removed the library path ?? No library path is needed for the exchange storage agent..

from your tsm server , does this work

assuming IGRITSM_SERVER1 is the name of the storage agent
 
ya but we have to define path between SAN Agent and Library....
 
No, the SAN agent does not need a library path as your TSM server controls the library... take the below as an example for one of my storage agents
