You made progress, the manual backup started, this means that the config is good (as far as a manual is concerned). The disconnect error is for one of two reasons, the TSM Server went down, or you have an intermittent networking problem between the client and the server. However, when you get this, the client will try to reconnect up to 4 times, so it may still recover from it.
It's possible, I'm not a network specialist.ethernet is virtual can this cause the disconnect problem?
The connection was disconnected, that is proof that there is networking problem, but likely intermittent. I'm not a network specialist, so can't help you troubleshoot it. The problem could be with the TSM Client OS or the TSM Server OS, or anywhere between the two.I controlled the link between server and client and there is no network problem
