Hi,
To follow up on the licensing question...remember that networker
licenses based on backups, and uses the media database to check
licensing. Even if you delete the client instance (and if you do,
make sure to note down the client-id first!!!), the media database
still "knows" that you have backed up two hosts via ndmp.
If you get a temp tier 4 ndmp license, that'll allow you to back it
up, but once it expires, you'll get a license violation, I suspect,
if the ndmp data is still in the system.
I'm wondering if there is a way to back up that data by routing it
through another system, whether that be ndmp or nfs or cifs, that
might be an easier solution for a one time archive. (Thats what I
would suggest, anyways)
