Hi all,

       I agree and disagree, just to be a pest.   I think it is
interesting to many of us for information about other competing backup
software
to percolate into this group.   Short term discussion of feature sets,
etc, are probably of interest to many readers.
However, at some juncture, a tipping point is reached, and instead of
the discussion providing
information about another, perhaps complementary piece of software, the
alternative software starts
taking over the bandwidth.   At /that/ point, the discussion should be
taken offline, elsewhere, etc.
That is, let thoughtfulness trump policy, whenever possible, especially
in the realm of human conversation.
It is apparent that many types of readers view this list and includes
Networker administrators with deep expertise,
but also many newbies who didn't quite realize what they'd gotten
themselves into.  8-)
