I use TSM Operational Reporter for this. Oracle backups should be kept
for two weeks in our shop. So I created an SQL query to report the
amount of objects older than 30 days stored on the server for the given
node:

select COUNT(*) AS NODE01 from backups where ((days(current_date) -
days(backup_date) >= 30)) and hl_name='//' and state= 'ACTIVE_VERSION'
and node_name='NODE01-ORC'

It should be 0, if not, TSMOR reports an error to be investigated by the
Oracle guys. This report is mailed to them once a week.
The only downside is that you have to issue this select statement per
node. If you use a generic statement (so whithout the node_name=) it
runs for more than a day...

Does anyone know if there's a way other than tracking occupancy to see
if RMAN is passing deletes to TSM for Oracle TDP clients?  We've had
many challenges with our Oracle group and their delete backup script not
working.
