OK, but what happens when autoclean is in effect and one of the drives
is being cleaned and ADSM wants to mount a tape in that drive? I was
told that the autoclean is triggered by the 3575 hardware and that the
ADSM server is unaware of the cleaning cartidge in the drive. So, the
question is: does autoclean work for you because is was designed to
work or are you "just lucky"?

We are running a 3575 with autoclean turned on. Been running since 3/98. No
Problems at all. We run 4 drives and got prompted to change the cleaning
cart for the first time about two weeks ago. Depends on how active your
drives are but with our current load looks like about 3-4 cleaning carts a
year. We do expect that to grow as we bring additional clients online.
