Can you give us more details?  Which client are you using - what level is it
at.  What is your server?  Are there any messages in the DSMERROR.log?

Whenever I attempt a client gui backup and select backup by directory tree,
for example, the gui never reacts.It sits on the screen  and blanks itself
out. WHat is wrong with it?
