ADSM does not use the archive bit, nor does it reset the archive bit. When
ADSM performs incremental backups, it compares other attributes of the file
such as file size, and modification date and time against those of the last
backup. If any one of these attributes has changed then ADSM considers the
file to be changed, and backs it up.
