Another possibility exists, especially for temporary test setups:
While backing up the the Windows VM host (lets call it vmhost), I just add
into the backup selection something along the lines of "\\vm1\C$" where vm=
1
is one of the virtual machines. The Netbackup client on vmhost has to be
running as an administrative user. I create a special account for it and
change the password on a regular schedule. That allows me to backup the (i=
n
my case test environment) VMs individually as long as they are in use.
