Re: [Networker] backing up VSS SYSTEM FILESET taking a very long time

I asked the same question a few months back and basically the answer was there
is nothing to be done about it. Our one W2K8R2 server backups up over 11 GB
and takes over an hour to backup. I've just gotten used to it.

Subject: [Networker] backing up VSS SYSTEM FILESET taking a very long time
We are currently beginning to add w2k8r2 servers to our environment.
When we do a backup,
The VSS SYSTEM FILESET takes up a lot of space and takes a VERY long
time to complete. For newer server, the size of the fileset is greater
than the C:\ drive.
We are running Networker Sever 7.5 on Linux and using a 7.5.3 client on
the w2k8r2.
I have opened a case with Networker, but we have not been able to find a
solution. I wanted to find out if anyone else had this issue and how
they are dealing with it.
