We do fulls weekly and level 1 every weekday. Works fine...
But it's not an incremental.
We do level 1 on Friday, 2 on Sat, 3 on Sun, 4 on Mon, 5 on Tue, 6 on
Wed, and 7 on Thur. We run our full on the fourth Friday. That's the
way we faked an incremental.
Works for a week, not for a month (which is what the OP was asking
about). I run out of numbers before the month is up.
It provides a combination and is the closest you are going to get to an
incremental with NDMP. We do a monthly full, and then weekly lvl 1
differentials , so the maximum number of SSIDs we will ever need is 8 to
do a bare metal recover (hopefully, they'll be on 2 or 3 tapes max).
