Hi,

I'm trying to setup autofs for use with vchanger.
My setup works OK for root, but I don't have rw-access to the USB
RDX-drive with the bacula user which vchanger uses.
As a start I formatted the cartridges with ext3.

My setup :
auto.master :
+auto.master
/mnt/vchanger      /etc/auto.vchanger        --timeout=30

auto.vchanger, working OK as root :
# /etc/auto.vchanger
*          -fstype=auto,rw       :/dev/disk/by-uuid/&

Every time I try to use vchanger's command :
vchanger -u bacula -g disk /etc/bacula/c1.conf initmag 1
I get an error :
could not create index file on
/mnt/vchanger/3c3a8772-c887-4023-8b24-95a1d0c4dc8a
The drive is mounted, but with bad permissions :
drwxr-xr-x 5 root root 4096 18 apr 14:43
3c3a8772-c887-4023-8b24-95a1d0c4dc8a

I tried these in auto.vchanger :
*     -fstype=auto,rw,uid=bacula       :/dev/disk/by-uuid/&
*     -fstype=auto,rw,gid=disk         :/dev/disk/by-uuid/&
*     -fstype=auto,rw,uid=$UID         :/dev/disk/by-uuid/&
*     -fstype=auto,rw,gid=$GID         :/dev/disk/by-uuid/&
*     -fstype=auto,rw,gid=users        :/dev/disk/by-uuid/&
With no success.

vchanger's config is :
# /etc/bacula/c1.conf
# work_dir=/var/spool/bacula
changer_name = c1
virtual_drives = 1
slots_per_magazine = 1
magazine_bays = 1
automount_dir = /mnt/vchanger
magazine = UUID:ccefd56c-1537-48bf-b0e4-03dd58a7c4f9
magazine = UUID:e72ccd02-2c00-4d45-a43f-f53c37bb35c4
magazine = UUID:3c3a8772-c887-4023-8b24-95a1d0c4dc8a
#eof

Anyone who can help ?

Thanks,

Koenraad Lelong
