Or maybe it will also reset the ownership when writing the file during 
the restore itself?

Note to self: when doing such a restore, restore /etc/passwd and 
/etc/group (or the LDAP configuration or whatever else is used) before 
anything else. That's 20/20 hindsight, of course.
