Were you deleting the entire backup or just selected files or trees?
For deleting the entire backup, there is a simple script called
BackupPC_deleteBackup. For deleting portions of a backup, the program
is BackupPC_deleteFile (small 'd' -- assuming you are using the
program I authored). Deleting an entire backup is *much* simpler than
deleting an individual file or file tree...
