My bad... you are right... you cited "political reasons".... I should
have referred you to alt.politics.backuppc if that is what you are
seeking. If, however, you are looking for actual technical advice,
then you might want to consider what people are trying to tell you.

I'm sorry, I thought you actually wanted help from contributors who
know a thing or two or three about how BackupPC works and not just
hear from people who pursued the same "foolish idea" (your wording).

Perhaps next time you should phrase your request more precisely if you
are only interested in hearing from people who succeeded or failed in
going down a path that those of us who actually know the working of
BackupPC think to be "foolish"... My guess is you won't receive many
answers...
