Couldn't agree more!
BackupPC could definitely use more contributors especially to
documentation.
We are blessed that Craig is doing everything on the core development
side, so there is no excuse for the rest of us not to contribute in
one way or another whether developing extensions, answering questions
on the mailing list, or writing documentation
