Your .amandahosts file is perfect!  Leave it as it is.

As for the crontab entry(ies), I would comment this out for now (re-edit
crontab as the amandabackup user as instructed in the Quick Start Guide
and put a "#" in front of all Amanda-related lines).  Let's get Amanda
working first and then take a look at this crontab entry later to get
things automated.

To continue on, you asked what a disklist entry would be to backup your
full system.  If everything is installed in / then:

    localhost / comp-user-tar

ought to do it with compression (use "user-tar" for no compression).  If
your system is installed in / and /usr, then you need an entry for each.
What you don't want to do is to back up the holding disk for Amanda so
if your holding disk is not on its own partition, we want to exclude
that before you make your first run.  If unsure about this, check with
us on this before issuing your first "amdump" command.

Try creating a disklist file, run an amcheck and let's go from there.
