This is the selfcheck log file run tonight:
selfcheck: debug 1 pid 9819 ruid 33 euid 33: start at Thu Oct 13

/usr/lib/amanda/selfcheck: version 2.4.5
selfcheck: time 0.000: checking disk //gandalf/DocSetts
selfcheck: time 0.000: spawning /usr/bin/smbclient in pipeline
selfcheck: argument list: smbclient \\gandalf\DocSetts -U chris -E -W
TELESPAN -c quit
selfcheck: time 0.039: samba access error: //gandalf/DocSetts: Error

failed: returned 1
selfcheck: time 0.040: pid 9819 finish time Thu Oct 13 21:20:20 2005
And there you see the domain "TELESPAN" again.
The DocSetts share definitely exists and I can connect to it
using smbclient -U chris -E -W TELESPAN -c quit
disklist contains the line: bilbo.stow-jones.local
//gandalf/DocSetts nocomp-user-gnutar
amandapass contains the line (obfuscated password):
//gandalf/DocSetts chris%password TELESPAN
Seems all good.
Maybe the "password" contains some invalid characters (valid for
Windows, but not valid for the parser that parses the file above),
like a space or a percent sign?
Whatever I try, amcheck also fails when I mess up the /etc/amandapass
file. What is the complete output of "amcheck"?
