Probably not... I know from past experience in IBM facilities, at least,
that IBM designates all the current, good stuff for sale to customers:
what is relegated for use internally is generally stuff that won't sell
or is older technology - remaindered stuff. From all the brochures and
promotional material we tend to picture IBM staff using state-of-the-art
hardware and software to be highly productive and cutting-edge. It came
as something of a shock to me to see what is (or was then) on the other
side of the wall from customer impressions.
