My knowledge of how netmon works on Windows is spotty. On UNIX this would
be resolved eventually by the daily config check. To force it, you would
do a demand poll. So try a demand poll first. Select it on the map and do
Test --> Demand Poll or nmdemandpoll <selection_name> from the command
line. That includes a shot at name resolution.
If that fails, then right click, delete, and rediscover

You must erase them so that netview discovers them again.

nv-l AT lists.us.ibm DOT com [nv-l] Host Name
I am using NetView 7.1.4 with FP03 on Win2k3.
I have few devices, NetView discovered without hostname (only IP Address).
This was due to the problem with name resolution and now I have corrected
the problem with my DNS.
What are the steps required to get these devices identified by hostname on
NetView MAP at the earliest.
