Re: [nv-l] MLM functionality in 7.1.4

Fromw hat I have gathered and understand
the MLM code for NT is compelte different then the UNIX MLM code. If
the UNIX flavor of MLM does not use the IP address to uniquely identify
a MLM MIB oid, then it may be ueable to use a UNXI to UNIX MLM type scenario.
The map updating however troubling, may be overcome. But if
the UNIX MLM still uses the IP address as an identifier in a OID then the
point is mute.
Thank you

Paul,
I agree that traps would automatically go to local and central NetView,
but if you used APM at the central Netview, only the central NetView would
have icons that would change colors when the traps arrived. The local NetView
would get the trap...but no map change.
