Folks.

I know this type of question has been raised before, but it was a while ago
and
perhaps people may have some more ideas on the subject.

We are monitoring remote routers which have a backup ISDN interface. As the
ISDN backup link is down (most of the time), the router appears as marginal
on
the map. As suggested previously, unmanaging the ISDN interface enables us
to
see a normal status on the map. There is a requirement to see which routers
are using their ISDN interfaces, therefore we would rather keep these
interfaces as managed as it is not sufficient to say that if the ISDN
interface
was unmanaged and the router was marginal therefore it is on ISDN. (Our
routers
have more than 2 interfaces).

I have had a look at the Monitor ISDN backup interfaces functionality
supplied
with NV7.1, this unfortunately does not seem to work for us. It's probably
because our ISDN interfaces on the routers are being detected as PPP
interfaces
.

Ideas anyone?

Thanks

Richard.
