Mike,

How do you manage them: Via Management interface or Via Regular VLAN
interface?
The problem with the CSS boxes is that CSS has IpForwarding field set to
"yes" but it NOT a Router at all.
Also, Management interface is not routable at all, there fore that interface
is not inside MIB-II group which NetView reads.

This is the problem that I had?

I also manage these content switches - SNMP fails to it frequently, but not
all the time. (Subnets go unreachable). I process traps only. Maybe Cisco
has an SNMP problem on these boxes but I haven't had time to work on it.

Hi everybody,

I have NV7.1 running on Solaris7. My Netview Server is located behind a
firewall that permits me to poll devices with snmp. I have some Cisco CCS's
(formerly known as Arrowpoint with Software 4.01) that I have to manage. I
can do a snmpwalk (and a demand poll) but these devices went in status
unreachable. What can I do (without pinging) to get these devices into a
status managed (green). I think there is a problem with interface to address
mapping.

Regards
