If you installed from the Framework then you would upgrade the same way.
Mount the CD and bring up the Tivoli desktop. Pull down "Desktop" -->
"Install" --> "Install Product".
When the File Browser pops up you have to set the media to point to the
directory where you mounted the CD
When you see "FILE1.PKT", "FILE2.PKT", and so on in the Files: list then
you know you are in the right spot.
Click "Set Media and Close".
You should get a new panel which says "Install Product" and one of the
things to install should be the NetView Server Upgrade.
Make sure you choose you choose the upgrade path so that your current
customizations are preserved.
Then make sure your box is in the "Client to Install on" box and click the
"Install" button.
Should be automatic from there.

You will have to start by telling us what operating system you are
upgrading on, UNIX or NT, and if UNIX, whether you installed with the
Framework or not

Subject: [nv-l] Upgrade from NV7.1 to NV7.1.1
I just received my Netview 7.1.1 CD - I am looking at the file
CONTENTS.LST
and I can't see which file to use to upgrade from 7.1 to 7.1.1 The
documentation is pretty bad in this regard - it says to look at the 7.1
documentation, which doesn't tell me how to upgrade to a version beyond
that.
Can anyone who has done this let me know what products to use?
Thanks,
Brian
