Let me take a shot at this one.
To Change the Hostname of your NetView Server, follow these steps:

1. odadmin odlist add_hostname_alias 1 <Address> <newHostname>
    Note that "1" is the dispatcher number from odadmin odlist
IMPORTANT: See note below if Destination Dispatcher Unavailable!

2. Change the hostname of the server
    Use smitty tcpip on AIX or sys-unconfig on Solaris

2.1 edit /etc/hosts ; remove any old host names and aliases

3. Change the DNS

4. reboot

5. Start the Administrator's desktop

6. Start the Netview daemons, without starting the GUI

7. Run mapadmin -u <newHostname>

8. Start the Netview GUI

NOTE:
If you have already changed the name of the machine and the oserv is
unstartable,
i.e. "Destination Dispatcher Unavailable" ; Add the "Original" hostname
as an alias in /etc/hosts.
Start the oserv with oserv -p94 -k$DBDIR
Proceed with steps 1-8 (skipping #2, ofcourse)
