It absolutely can be done and has been done hundreds of times. All you have to
do is deal with the line feed issue. Unix2dos is designed to do that, but as
Ed pointed out, it's got a 2 GB limitation. ASCII mode FTP may be the answer,
as it handles adding and subtracting the line feeds when moving to/from Unix
and Windows.

You can't move a unix NBU database to windows (or the opozire) because of the
line feed. I don't know if unix2dos helps.
NBU server for solaris X86 will be suported with NBU 6.5
