Guys:
D'oh! I got a response asking about installing the key(s). Yes I have. I
also forgot to mention that I have enabled encryption on the master for
the two clients. Thanks for the speedy reply.
Bill

Subject: [Veritas-bu] Enabling encrption
Guys:
I thought I had done all I could to get encryption running on two
clients.
Running Sol10/6MP4 on the master.
Clients for encryption are AIX 5.3
Done on the master:
I added the encryption package with the script
I ran the bpinst -ENCRYPTION command
I ran the bpkeyutil -insert -clients <client1>,<client2>
I found the keyfile.dat file on the clients within /opt/openv/var.
I enabled encryption within the policy
When I enable encryption within the policy all the backups fail with
exit code 9. bperror -S states that the extension package needs to be
installed. <sigh> Never a dull moment with this product.
Any expertise with this would be great.
Thanks in advance!
Bill
