I run netbaclkup 3.2 on solaris 8.

I believe for some reason that netbackup uses GNU tar to back up. Does =
anyone know if this is true??

What i need to do is back something up with netbackup send the tape off =
somewhere and for them to read it and they do not have netbackup.

I was thinking i could back something up to a new tape with netbackup, =
then move it and look at it with gnu tar :-

/usr/local/bin/tar tvf /dev/rmt/0

This doesnt work at start so i did a mt -f /dev/rmt/0n fsf 1 then did =
/usr/local/bin/tar tvf /dev/rmt/0n but still get errors :(

Anyone got any idea of how i can do what i want?

Thanks
