I really know very little about command line scripting in NT. Could you 
direct me to a source that would explain the basics, such as loops, 
variable usage, reading text files, etc?

You can use bpimagelist  to get the backup id for a particular client that's
passed to it via script and then use that id to run it against bpexpdate to
expire it.

                I need to be able to script the expiry of backups on disk
after they've been duplicated to tape. Right now I'm having to manually type
in 
                each backup id. Any suggestions or examples of NT scripting
