The key issue is that you want to use a file restore to recover the Exchange 
store. Such will not work as you must use the same 'ASM' which has been used 
for the backups.
The 'drive letter' 'APPLICATIONS:\' indicates this indirectly.

In this case you must use the appropriate module.
