Hi Guys,
I discovered this issue earlier, but I was not sure whether this was NW
related or a different issue. Today I took the time to check it out, and
it seems that installing NetWorker 8's NMC somehow damages freenx.
Environment:
NW server:
PUIAS(RHEL clone like CentOS) 6.3 x86_64 basic server install with
desktop added. Just ran yum update.
freenx-server.x86_64 0.7.3-22.puias6
nx.x86_64 3.5.0-3.puias6
lgtoclnt.x86_64 8.0.0.2-1
lgtoman.x86_64 8.0.0.2-1
lgtonmc.i686 8.0-1
lgtonode.x86_64 8.0.0.2-1
lgtoserv.x86_64 8.0.0.2-1
Client:
PUIAS 6.3 x86_64 Desktop.
nxclient-3.5.0-7.x86_64 (NoMachine NX client)
Just as soon as lgtonmc is installed and the server is rebooted (didn't
even run nmc_config yet), NX stops working and the client complains
about not being able to find some tmp file:
Can't open
/var/lib/nxserver/db/running/sessionId{88350E1CD208EF0FE0B0B3386BBFB9BE}: No
such file or directory.
Removing lgtonmc and rebooting makes FreeNX work again.
I'm not sure why this happens, I'll let you EMC gurus figure that out :)
It's easily reproducible, let me know if you need any more info.
