OK, not the type of backup I was referring to. I meant that if you define
a client in NMC with saveset "MSSQL:"; backup command "nsrsqlsv", and
install the SQL Module on the client - then regardless of the level of the
group that client is in, the backup of the "MSSQL:" saveset would always
be FULL., even if the group is on a schedule that specifies INCR.
I can't test it right now, but that's always been my understanding.
Yes, your way would be an incremental backup, but I don't think that works
on the actual databases, the MDF files, does it? Those aren't INCR
backups, are they?
The type of backup I refer to doesn't use "savegrp", it uses the
"nsrsqlsv" command instead. I never do it manually, I just define it in
NMC and let the system issue the actual command.
