Only on the VCB proxy, which you can add as a client or - if needed - as a 
dedicated storage node. You don't have to go server just for VCB.

One item you need to consider if you are going to use VMware VCB then you will 
be forced to use Windows 2003.

SnapImage wouldn't make a difference on the server - just on the client, 
unless, of course, you use some bloated file server as your NW server as well...

Everyone has their opinion, but most importantly, what benefits does your 
client see in such a move? As for me, I couldn't imagine running at NetWorker 
server on Windows. Linux is free and tech support is inexpensive. It used to be 
that some functionality such as SnapImage wasn't available on Linux, but was in 
Windows, but I think they are pretty much on parity now in that area. In my 
data center, we see far more technical glitches with Windows than we do with 
our Linux servers.
