I did not mean altering it at the OS level. The OS level permits
applications to use alternate block size as long as it falls within the
Min/Max range. On my Windows Servers I set it at the Networker level for
performance otherwise it will default to Windows lowest level which =
slow. If you check Powerlink you'll find a ton of articles relating to
this. I mentioned it only to make sure the new drive setting matched the
old within Networker not Solaris.

Word of caution , before you go out and manipulate block size, just
because you can, generally, this is not needed, for some reason you want
to tune this, the suggestion is to keep the block size compatible across
OS , i.e Linux, Solaris, Windows, you can only use the smallest size
compatible.
or else you may have recovery issues.
