This thread I found is very interesting! :)

Why not looking in to the option of having NetWorker Storage Node and a disk
backup option which could be used for a stage later to move the data to tape
drives (just to extend life time of  SDLT 320 drives?).

But even after that you may have to have a very relaxed SLA for Restores!

Okay.  The NetWorker server is Windows 2000 on a HP DL360, the jukebox
is a Quantum ATL M1500, LVD SCSI, with 2 SDLT320 drives.  The link
between the 2 sites is via 100Mb microwave and the LANs at both sites
are 100Mb.

We are looking to supply bandwidth on our microwave links to a
'community network' and we are concerned that performance may be
affected if we need to do a recovery through the day, part of the reason
for me posing the question - we are investigating reducing impact on
bandwidth.
