Can I abort the savegrp from a pre_backup.  For example,

I start the savegrp from scheduler.
Check if batch is running.  If yes, abort backup.  If no, continue
backup.

The above logic can I incorporate in pre_backup. If so, HOW

No they won't. Current versions of savepnpc don't run pre and post 
processing steps on days when the level is skip. This was broken in some

very old versions.
