We are Moving to a new Backup system based on LTO2.  It will be a new Server
running 7.1.2 on Windows 2K.
 
We have an old system running DLT7000 and Networker 6.1.3 on Windows 2K.  
 
We need to be able to restore from the old system for a while.  So here is my
idea.
 
Hook a stand alone DLT7000 up to the new 7.1.3 server.
 
Run an mminfo -av and save to somewhere.
 
 
When a restore is required,  look up the appropriate volumes in the mminfo
output and then scanner in the tapes.
 
Does this make any sense and will it work?
