If other servers in the environment can find the Legato server, then it
sounds like a name resolution problem.

On the Exchange server, try nslookups of the Legato server by short name,
long name, and IP address.  Nslookup tests if the name resolution from a
DNS server is working.

You could also try creating a HOSTS file on the Exchange server and add
entries for the Legato server.
