Run Scanner -vvv drivepath

break the output after few lines, look for scanner: volume id 999999 record 
size 65536

where record size is the block size (65536/1024=64kb). What ever value you get 
at the end of the record size divide that with 1024 and you will get your block 
size on a tape.

Thanks Terry; How do I check the block size of the SCSI HBA under Solaris?
Isn't that setting controlled by the st.conf file?

Unfortunately, going back to our old Legato server is not an easy option
at this point because we had to rewire the devices in our tape library and
change the dip switches on each of the tape drives to reflect the new
host.
