Thanks for the update. I don't mind watching the file table, and I have about
17-19TB of storage and I'm only using about 60% at the moment. I'll set the
job and file retention to the same as the volume retention for now and see how
much it grows or if we experience any degradation in speed.

Hi Steven,
I assume that's the way it works. You'll need to keep an eye on your
file table though as it can grow ridiculously large esp. if you have
many small files per job.
Another option could be looking into bscan / bextract and friends
which will also allow you to extract a set of files from a bacula
volume.
