Hi,

Try this:
bconsole
    *update
    *2 (Volume Retention Period)
    *number of pool
    *Enter *MediaId or Volume name: SERVER_FULL-day02-1h
       Updating Volume "SERVER_FULL-day02-1h"
       Current retention period is: 6 days
       Enter Volume Retention period: new period

For me this worked and the parameter VolRetention was updated immediately.
