The patch is a shot in the dark by me. The strange thing is that no
one noted it until now because it is a basic restore defect.

VSS only circumvent the problem because it serialize Windows backup
jobs. So the fix would be "use only one job per windows machine", but
that is somewhat bad in case of encryption because with this only one
core does all the work and limit the throughput.
