Well, the mtx status command shouldn't do anything but read the
barcodes and tapedrives out of memory on the host and nothing
should move on that command. (thats how it works on the other
libraries I have worked with). Scanning the complete set of labels is
a hugely diffent thing and that should take time to scan above 500 labels.
