But if I try the mtx-changer command with the list option again, see above, I still get the

Slot number 9 to be loaded.

I also see that the tape is in the drive in the Tandberg web view.

So now here are my question?

How can I unload the tape from the drive?

Is it a good idea to do a mt –f /dev/st0 offline

I would try:

mtx-changer /dev/sg5 unload 9 /dev/nst0 0
