Hi all.

After my tests are almost done with bacula and the Tandberg T24 autochanger now I erased the

contents of the tape A00009 for using it in the production bacula environment.

I did the following:

bacula stop

mtx-changer /dev/sg5 loadad 0 /dev/nst0 0

I got the Slot number 9 with the barcode label A00009 is in the drive

mt –f /dev/st0 rewind

mt –f /dev/st0 weof

Now when I try to unmount the tape I got the following error message:

*unmount storage

Storage resource "storage": not found

The defined Storage resources are:

     1: File

     2: SugarCRM_Disk

     3: SugarCRM

     4: SAP

     5: SAP-Logs

     6: NAS

     7: Linux

     8: Windows

Select Storage resource (1-8): 8

3301 Issuing autochanger "loaded? drive 0" command.

3302 Autochanger "loaded? drive 0", result is Slot 9.

3307 Issuing autochanger "unload slot 9, drive 0" command.

3995 Bad autochanger "unload slot 9, drive 0": ERR=Child exited with code 1

Results=Unloading drive 0 into Storage Element 9...mtx: Request Sense: Long Report=yes

mtx: Request Sense: Valid Residual=no

mtx: Request Sense: Error Code=70 (Current)

mtx: Request Sense: Sense Key=Illegal Request

mtx: Request Sense: FileMark=no

mtx: Request Sense: EOM=no

mtx: Request Sense: ILI=no

mtx: Request Sense: Additional Sense Code = 53

mtx: Request Sense: Additional Sense Qualifier = 02

mtx: Request Sense: BPV=no

mtx: Req3901 Device "LTO-5" (/dev/nst0) is already unmounted.

*

But if I try the mtx-changer command with the list option again, see above, I still get the

Slot number 9 to be loaded.

I also see that the tape is in the drive in the Tandberg web view.

So now here are my question?

How can I unload the tape from the drive?

Is it a good idea to do a mt –f /dev/st0 offline?

Must I label the tape with the barcode A00009 again after the mt –f /dev/st0 weof?

Is it possible to do a label barcodes for only one tape?

Br Robert
