Pine is the fd client and .55 is the correct host ip.

John - Yes, I can ping the dir from the client, however, bconsole will not 
connect from the client. There is no firewall on the director and windows 
firewall is disabled on the client.

"Connecting to Director 10.200.1.124:9101" and then the DOS prompt closes.

But I can ping it fine.

C:\Users\jjest>ping 10.200.1.124
Pinging 10.200.1.124 with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 10.200.1.124: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=64
Reply from 10.200.1.124: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=64

Other windows clients can connect without any problem so shouldn't be a port 
issue...

I've just installed Bacula on linux and it's working fine making backups from 
Windows.
Your estimate means that The server its connecting to the client, but it dosent 
see any file to backup.
I need to know also if you can PING from your cliente to your server with the 
address listed in the storage seccion of bacula-dir.conf

I wanted to verify the opposite direction. Because it is the fd that makes the 
connection to the sd using whatever ip address (or fqdn) is listed in the 
storage section of bacula-dir.conf
