On Debian

| $ aptitude search blkid
| p   libblkid-dev                    - block device id library - headers and 
stat
| i   libblkid1                       - block device id library

Install the  '-dev'  to solve the "ld: cannot find -lblkid"

Probably the same as on Debian.
